Beef

Our Beef is 100% grass raised and finished with no antibiotics or grain. No chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides are used in our pastures—ever.

Our beef herd consists of registered, purebred, Dexters. This breed has not been used extensively for market beef so they have not been messed around with genetically; they still get fat on grass. They are an Irish, dual-purpose breed and are slightly smaller than your average beef cattle. Dexter cattle are listed on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy as "recovering." Our Dexters are recovering quite well!

Chicken

When our young chicks are fully feathered we move them out to our pastures. They are housed in moveable coops "chicken tractors." These "tractors" are moved to new grass daily and chickens are provided with free choice of our custom-milled grain mix and unlimited water, grass and insects.

We also raise both Broad Breasted Whites and Pasture Raised Heritage Turkeys. Our turkeys are free from antibiotics and vaccines and fed the same grain mix as our broiler chickens. They forage for insects and grasses in our pastures.

Turkey

Broad Breasted Whites get big, about 15-30+ lbs, while our Heritage Turkeys are about 8-12 lbs by Thanksgiving. We receive our white turkeys as day-old poults, free from antibiotics and vaccines. Our turkeys are fed the same grain mix that our broiler chickens receive and at 4-6 weeks old they are moved out to pasture to forage for insects and grasses. These turkeys develop an incredible flavor from natural foraging.
