7/13/09 - Blueberry season is open!

A couple weeks later than normal but just as sweet as they always are. This year you can find our blueberries at the North Harmony Outdoor Center, Stow, NY, and featured on chef Jonathan's tasting menu at La Fleur restaurant, the Stedman Corner Store, the "local produce" stand at Red Brick Village, across from Chautauqua Institute, and always right here at our farm.

Our early turkeys have moved out to pasture and are doing great, the late turkeys still have a couple weeks in the brooder. we have a handfull of heritage turkeys available to reserve, call or email us.

Our first batch of broiler chickens are sold out, our next batch will be ready July 30th. we still have some available to reserve.

Produce will be available starting July 20th. We will have sugar snap peas, carrots, onions, zuchini, summer squash, pickling cukes, and some heirloom cukes, red raspberries should be ready in a week or two.

12/29/09 - Wrapping up another succesful year at Good Grass Farm!

We would like to thank all of our returning and new customers for a succesful year. We sold out of turkeys this year (the biggest was a 40 lb'r sent to our friends mike & keri). We have a handfull of frozen whole chickens and some grass finished beef still available. Eggs are coming slowly but we have some available also.

Our apologies for not posting news all summer and fall. We had some technology issues, a hard drive crash on our web computer, and the camera lens had to go in for repair. it's taken a while to get everything running properly. data recovery, and re-installation of software...

150 new layer chicks arrived in late November and should be starting to lay in June. Our heritage turkey flock is in the barn in a new aviary. We will begin the turkey breeding process in the next few weeks. We will be processing our flock of heritage chickens in the next few weeks also, we have Jersey Giant and Rhode Island Red roosters. Give us a call if you'd like to try some heritage chicken.

next season we plan on introducing pasture raised pork to our line-up and a major expansion to our produce garden. More pastures of course plus hay fields and grain fields maybe...
